Hi,
I am Paul Huggett.
I’m a Sussex based presenter. I may be a relative newcomer to radio, but I’m certainly no stranger to a microphone, the stage, a studio, or live presentation.
I have, as well as being a long-time bass player in various bands, singer and songwriter, worked as a trackside commentator at loads of motor sport events of various kinds, ranging from stock car racing to Rallycross, and also on TV in the early days of cable and satellite with the long-defunct Screen Sport channel on a wide range of motor racing disciplines.. Oh and I once did an interview with art expert Brian Sewell for BBC Radio 4, about racing – another story!
My musical tastes are wide-ranging to say the least, from Rock to Folk, to Soul, Psychedelia, Blues and pure power Pop, and from Amy Macdonald to the Zutons, and Dr Feelgood to Dr Hook.
As a man with two left feet, however, dance grooves leave me standing. I have recently been working on my local hospital and online radio station CHR, presenting a recorded show of my own.
My two shows on VYPA Radio, “Paul Huggett’s Golden Nuggets”, & “Gone Country”
Hope to catch you there.
Paul Huggett
